Work directly with Quality Engineer resources to determine inspection criteria and best practice inspection techniques. Operate measurement equipment to perform machine trials on newly developed part programs and prepare them for machine readiness.

    • Program Development: Create, execute, and run programs on CMM machines using software such as PC-DMIS.
    • Inspection Criteria: Review blueprints and specifications to establish correct inspection criteria following best practices.
    • Quality Assurance: Perform meticulous inspection and testing to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with CAM programming, Quality Inspectors, and Machinists to develop appropriate in-process manual inspections and optimize final inspection strategies.
    • Documentation: Write detailed inspection plans, including CMM fixturing setup.
    • Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO, and GD&T.
    • Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques to support continuous improvement initiatives.

The General Facilities and Machine Shop Maintenance Technician maintains a precision machine shop’s building, machinery, equipment, and facilities. 

    • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Checking and filling coolants and oils in machines, and other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
    • Building Maintenance: Small project building repairs, lawn care, snow and ice removal, and other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
